THE COMPANY
Our client is a renowned global leader in laser cutting system, software and materials handling solutions for the processing of metal and other sheet materials.
For this client, Timeo-Performance is looking for a Regional Managing Director - based in Singapore.
JOB PURPOSE
With a very solid business to take over, you will take on a strong leadership role, advising and mentoring the team and bringing the business to the next level, whilst servicing current clients at a very high level of quality.
REGIONAL SCOPE
ASEAN countries + Australia + New Zealand
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic development:
•Management of and full responsibility for annual revenue targets in Asia
•Regularly analyze the company's competitive environment, the sales results, and take the appropriate measures in order to secure and increase the market share
•Initiate and manage the acquisition of new clients within target markets
•Be a lead in the sales processes and ensure a long lasting client relationship
•Use good commercial instincts and networking skills to represent the company with professionalism and integrity at a national and international level.
•Overall profit and loss responsibility for Singapore
Organizational management:
•Be accountable for the Asia market development, issues and perspectives
•Implement the global company policies and strategies, and ensure the follow up
•Establishing and maintaining suitable staffing, training, and recruiting as appropriate
•Ensuring the compliance of the activity with the company standards
•Using leadership skills in order to drive others, establish a shared vision and motivate people to work together to achieve shared objectives
QUALIFICATIONS
•A minimum of ten years of sales, business development management experience, with at least one successful managing director role in a global environment
•Regional sales experience in Asia with strong track records (experience in handling a large geographical sales scope)
•Selling services experiences would be a plus
•A general knowledge of the machinery or technical products, and a real curiosity towards the industry
•Strong influencing and business partnering skills, coupled with a strong creative and entrepreneurial spirit, will be critical for success in this role
•Keen on being in the sales decision process, creating strong client relationships, closing and consolidating the deals
•Demonstrated ability to develop new clients
•Self motivator and hands-on manager
•Creative manager, always seeking for new opportunities and ways of doing, and able to move his co-workers in the right direction
•Demonstrated leadership skills
•Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Language / other requirements
• Language: English speaker + one Asian language (Mandarin would be a plus
•Ability and willingness to travel (approximately 50% of the time).
